Do Unto Others.... Does Anyone Remember That One?
I've seen a rise over the years of people just unable to be nice to each other. It's easy to forget your manners and to have respect for others and only think about the fact that you're in a hurry and someone is holding you up or that you need something done now and nothing is more important than your own needs. But when the shoe is on the other foot, how does that make you feel? If you work in a service type of industry and you get a call from someone that needs something done and they want you to drop everything else you're doing because nothing is more important than their own needs - sound familiar? It takes effort to be impatient and short. It raises your blood pressure and can ruin your day. Don't walk that road. It's okay to be annoyed when you're held up in a line or in traffic but don't let it loom to large within. Step back and remember, you're not the only one in a hurry and ask for patience - it will be given to you. It's up to you to use that gift after you receive it. You will find you are a lot less bothered and it takes a lot less effort to treat people with common kindness and courtesy. Starting today, do unto others as you would have them do unto you - it's catching. Labels: habits, positive-thinking

Projecting Positive
Did you know one of the most powerful ways to make changes in your life is by projecting the positive? Start removing negativity from your life and you'll see big changes come from around you. If you're a jealous person, let that go. When someone gets the promotion at work you wanted, be happy for them. Step outside of the situation and ask yourself why the boss thought that person was a better candidate. Did they show up early and work late? Did they project a more professional appearance. Use the opportunity to learn how you can get ahead instead of deciding the person must have incriminating evidence against the boss because that would be the only way they get ahead. That's putting negativity out. Go for the positive and grow yourself. If you have lost a relationship. It's hard to step outside of the situation when your heart hurts, but try. You'll see in the larger picture that the relationship may not have been right for you and you held onto something that wasn't make yourself happy because you feared being alone more. Remember, you are never alone. You can feel alone sometimes and you may feel lonely but find comfort in the thought that you will never be given more than you can handle by the Divine and when you need strength and comfort, you only need ask and it will be given. Just be open to accepting what you ask for. When a situation arises today and you find yourself doing a knee-jerk reaction to be negative. Stop yourself and handle the situation with positivity and you'll find an entirely new way of thinking will open up for you. Labels: positive-thinking

Opening Your Heart
If you find that you need healing, you must open your heart first and foremost. You need to believe that the healing will come to you and that you deserve it. You'd be amazed at how much sickness in people is caused by negativity, bad feelings and guilt. There is nothing that you can do or have done that will not be forgiven. The Divine loves you no matter how badly you feel you have acted and you must begin healing by learning to love yourself. Understand that no matter what kind of life you have lead up to the point you ask for forgiveness and healing - you can start anew and begin again. You only need ask and you must ask from your heart and sincerely and absolutely mean it. You can fool everyone on the planet, but you can not fool the Divine. If you don't really mean it, the spirit won't touch you just yet. Although paths may begin to open that will lead in the direction of healing your mind, body and spirit once you start looking into it. If you're truly ready to rid yourself of the blackness and negative feelings in yourself and you feel that nothing is going right and you are often forgotten, it may be time to find your inner light. Everyone has an inner light deep inside, some souls just find theirs grows dim from the stress of living an unfulfilling life. You don't have to go anywhere special or do anything special. Simply close your eyes and ask the Divine to come to you. Say that you're ready to be filled with the love of the Creator and you will find very quickly, your request has been answered. Walk a new path and find the true person you were meant to be, open your heart and let it be filled with love. Labels: love

Do You Believe in Miracles?
Have you ever heard someone say, "It's a miracle I wasn't killed/fired/hurt/other"?; No matter how large or small the situation seemed, did you ever stop to think it probably was a miracle? Not all miracles involve enormous feats where a person lifts a car off of another person or surviving the unthinkable. Sometimes a miracle is very small but will affect numerous people. Imagine a baby that is born and isn't expected to live but makes it anyway. In turn that baby makes his parents appreciate the little things in life. People see the parents' dedication to their child and in turn realize they may need to spend more time with their own children. Making money suddenly won't seem as important. Imagine all the people one little life can touch. The reason that baby pulled through was a miracle and the purpose was to wake up people and put them on another path in life. Another kind of miracle is when someone goes through a very hard circumstance either directly life threatening or emotionally crushing and they miraculously survive. They realize they take nothing from this life but memories and suddenly their antiques and other material possessions won't seem quite so precious. That is a miracle of attitude. You can have many kinds of miracles happen in and around your life. Look around you, there may even be a miracle occurring right now. Labels: miracles

Just One Day
Are you bored with life? Do you feel as though you're treading water and you don't get any further ahead in life? Want to know the secret to changing your life? It's in this sentence: "You can't do the same things everyday and expect a different outcome". That means just simply - do things differently. If you seek to find someone in your life - they most likely aren't going to come knock on your door. You need to change the way you do things and go to a library, visit a different grocery store, take a fun class like photography or painting - all ways to encounter new people.
If you want to better your career. You don't do it by doing the same thing every day. Break up the grind. Wear a suit if you don't normally do so. Ask your boss for more responsibility - show that you have the capacity to take on more.
Just for one day do things differently. You don't have to make huge changes in your life - but shake up your routine a little and you will find that little changes can bring big ones into your life. Labels: miracles, peace

Finding True Enjoyment In Your Job
All work and no play is a phrase that if often overused by many overworked individuals who have a hard time believing that it is possible to find enjoyment in your job. If you ever find yourself becoming a bit too serious in regards to your every day work life, you might want to find a few ways that you can lighten up a bit. After all, some of the most business savvy people can find a wealth of success if they take the time to nurture their soul with a little bit of play from time to time. I find that it is very important to take some time for yourself, giving your mind a break from the monotonous daily grind. It is easy to understand just why a relaxed and refreshed being is going to be able to show more imagination and ingenuity. You might even just find that taking a couple of moments to smile at a joke each and every day while you are at work will be just the thing that you need in order to keep your spirits high. Some smart managers are agreeing with the theory that happy employees are the most productive. Take this theory and put it to work for yourself! During your lunch break, you can head to your vehicle or use your walk-man to listen to a CD recording of your favorite comedian. Even looking through a magazine with some funny and inspirational stories can be just the thing to brighten up your workday, making you much more productive!
