What is Healing?

When you talk about healing, people generally think it is the curing of some physical malady but healing is so much more than that. True healing is the actual healing of a wounded soul. There are numerous people who are just as wounded in their souls as if they had been shot in the heart with an arrow.

This isn't to say there isn't a place for medical science in healing. Absolutely there is. There is a time and place for everything and sometimes the body needs some extra help and that is done through spiritual channels.

When the spirit is whole so is the body. Stress can literally make a person ill. Worry and grief can eat away the health. Guilt can cause physical illnesses to develop. Your body won't accept healing until you have made up your mind that you are ready to be healed. You cannot be truly helped until you want help. That old saying about "when the student is ready, the teacher will come" is very true.

Getting help is not the hard part. Accepting the fact they need help is the hard part for many people. Learn to let go of your stress. Worry and fear are feelings just like being too hot or too cold and when you're too hot or too cold, you change your surroundings to be more comfortable. Change the things that are causing worry and fear. Look your money situation square in the eye and make a budget you can live on and then vow to live within it. If you've done something you feel was wrong, apologize to those that your actions affected. The weight will be lifted off of you ten-fold. If your grief is hurting you, realize that you can not begin to heal until let go of your guilt for living and move forward; this doesn't mean forget the ones you've lost by any means, living a life of positivity is the best way to honor anyone that can't make the journey with you.

Healing comes in many forms and many levels but it has to start with you wanting help and accepting help.
